MANILA – Vice Ganda, Daniel Padilla and Kathryn Bernardo are the newest additions to the growing list of local artists who have their own star on the Eastwood Walk of Fame.
The stars were unveiled on Monday during a grand event held in Eastwood City in Quezon City spearheaded by veteran TV host German Moreno.
Speaking to ABS-CBN News, Padilla said he owes his star on the Walk of Fame to his supporters.
“Ang sarap ng pakiramdam. Ako mismo maglilinis nito,” he said in jest. “Thank you so much. Grabe 'yung feeling. 'Yung mga fans ko ang naglagay sa akin [sa star na ito]. Maraming, maraming salamat po sa lahat ng sumuporta sa akin. Dahil po sa inyo, nandito ako.”
As for Bernardo, she said having her own star gives her a sense of fulfillment.
“Of course, sobrang saya and sobrang thankful ako. Parang dream come true ito sa lahat ng artista. I’m very happy. Nung nakita ko yung pangalan ko, parang fulfillment po yun,” she said.
Vice Ganda, for his part, said he never thought of seeing his name on the Walk of Fame considering that he has not been in showbiz for long.
“Sobrang saya. Sobrang blessed lang ako and humbled at the same time. Hindi pa naman ako ganun katagal sa showbiz pero nailagay na 'yung pangalan ko sa mabilis na panahon sa Walk of Fame. Nakakataba ng puso,” he said.
The Eastwood Walk of Fame is the Philippine version of the Hollywood Walk of Fame.
Aside from the three Kapamilya stars, the other artists who were given stars include Tom Rodriguez, Angel Aquino, Carmi Martin, Aiko Melendez, Evangeline Pascual, Sylvia Sanchez, Jaya, Dante Rivero, Lisa Macuja and Cory Quirino.
