MANILA – Nadine Lustre said she does not have any problem if “Para sa Hopeless Romantic,” her third movie with James Reid, will be released at the end of January, instead of Valentine's Day.
In an interview with ABS-CBN News’ Mario Dumaual, Lustre said the release date of their movie is a management decision and she and Reid trust that their managers know what’s best for the both of them.
“I am really not sure kung bakit January. Sabi kasi nila dati ang ‘DNP 2’ (Diary ng Panget 2) is on Valentine’s pero I don’t think it will push through because magtatapos pa lang ang ‘Para sa Hopeless,’” she said.
Lustre said she would prefer to push back the second installment of “Diary Ng Panget” so they do not have to rush the movie and possibly compromise its quality.
According to Lustre, she has been blessed this 2014 and she is looking forward to doing more projects with Reid in 2015.
“Mas masaya ang team up at samahan namin ngayon ni James marami na kami napag-samahan sa work and nagma-mature na ang samahan namin. The year 2014 has been an awesome adventure. Ang dami nagbago. Sobrang dami po nangyari mga magaganda at ‘di maganda pero mas lamang ang maganda kaya I’m very thankful sa 2014,” she said.
Aside from Reid, Lustre said she will also welcome a project with Kathryn Bernardo if given the opportunity.
“Wala pa pong napag-usapan. Pero hopefully. Pwede kaming sisters,” she said.
The tandem of Reid and Lustre has been compared to the teamup of Bernardo and Daniel Padilla.
The two love teams, however, have repeatedly said that they do not mind being compared to each other because they do not intend to compete with each other.
