MANILA—"Three Words to Forever," the family drama billed as the reunion movie of Sharon Cuneta and Richard Gomez, opened with P6.5 million this Wednesday, producer Star Cinema announced.

Also starring Kathryn Bernardo, the flick premiered in 210 cinemas nationwide --a number that was upped to 220 this Thursday.

The movie is about a family whose secrets and untold feelings threaten to shatter their illusion of happiness. It also stars Liza Lorena, Freddie Webb, Tommy Esguerra, and Joross Gamboa.

On Instagram, Cuneta thanked those who watched the movie on its first day. She shared that this might be her and Gomez's last movie together unless "there’s a beautiful love story that comes along."

It is directed by Cathy Garcia-Molina, who has already announced that she is set to retire from filmmaking to focus on her family.
