MANILA -- A young nurse who wanted to try his luck in the industry became the final member of Lea Salonga's team on the second season of "The Voice of the Philippines."
Emil Sinagpulo, 25, works as a public health nurse in Cavite. During his free time, he also helps out in his family's piggery.
On the show's episode on Sunday, Sinagpulo sang Jessie J's "Who You Are." By the middle of his performance, Salonga turned for him.
"Alam kong maraming marami pa kayong matututunan kay Coach Lea, so, congratulations," Sarah Geronimo told Sinagpulo.
The other coaches, Bamboo and apl.de.ap also congratulated Sinagpulo.
"Ang daming beses na naming narinig 'yang mga kantang 'yan dito sa contest na 'to. So, I'll make you hurt a lot more, kasi 'yung emotional connection mo dapat umpisa pa lang nandiyan na eh. Pero mamaya na tayo mag-usap," Salonga told Sinagpulo, welcoming him to her team.
Aside from Sinagpulo, Team Lea is composed of Mic Llave, Julienne Cañeda, Charles Catbagan, Christelle Tiquis, Nino Alejandro, Humfrey Nicasio, Jem Cubil, Karl Tanhueco, Leah Patricio, Miro Valera, Philippe Go, Thara Jordana and Timothy Pavino.
