MANILA -- A 21 year-old breadwinner made it to Team Lea during the final Blind Auditions of "The Voice of the Philippines" aired on Sunday night.
Bacolod's Julienne Cañeda made coaches Lea Salonga and Bamboo Mañalac turn their chairs with her rendition of the song "Hurt."
An impressed Bamboo wooed the 21-year-old to his team, praising Cañeda for her excellent control.
Salonga, meanwhile, lauded Cañeda for her storytelling skills.
"I waited until the end na tapusin mo muna 'yung pagkuwento mo... 'Yung pagkanta mo, magaling ka sa paghahayag ng damdamin,'' she said.
After much wooing from both coaches, Cañeda chose to join Team Lea.
The 21-year-old, who stopped schooling to become the family's breadwinner, said she joined "The Voice" to help her mom and siblings.
