MANILA, Philippines – Veteran actress and Batangas Governor Vilma Santos-Recto has added another title to her name.
Santos was given the rank of lieutenant colonel by the Philippine Air Force (PAF) Reserve Command during the donning of ranks ceremony held at the Fernando Airbase in Lipa City.
With her new title, one of the Santos’ many responsibilities now include developing disaster preparedness among her constituents.
Santos said she is happy to be given that rank, noting that the PAF now has her back.
“I couldn't believe it. With my life now, parte na ako ng PAF as lieutenant colonel so mas lumalawak ang responsibilidad ko. Pero mas maganda naman kasi sa responsibilidad ko as governor, mas marami na at mas malaki na ang pamilyang tutulong sa akin. As a lieutenant colonel gagawin ko lahat iyon sa abot ng aking makakaya,” she said. – With ANC
