MANILA - "Hawak Kamay" concluded as the No. 1 TV program across the country last Friday, latest TV ratings data from Kantar Media show.

The Piolo Pascual-starrer registered a nationwide rating of 33.5%, putting it atop the list of the most watched programs for the day in both urban and rural areas.

Trailing the drama series in the Top 5 were other Primetime Bida offerings -- "Forevermore" (29.9%), "TV Patrol" (28.3%), "Bagito" (26.8%), and "Two Wives" (23%).

The viewership of "Hawak Kamay" as it neared its finale was an improvement over its average audience share in the past months. In October, it averaged 28.3% in national TV ratings, according to Kantar Media.

In the final episode of "Hawak Kamay," a cancer-stricken Gin (Pascual) had a glimpse of "heaven" before being given another chance at life to be a father to his children and husband to Bianca (Iza Calzado).

"Hawak Kamay," which marked the first lead role of Calzado in an ABS-CBN series, also starred Zaijan Jaranilla, Andrea Brillantes, Xyriel Manabat, Yesha Camile and Nikki Gil.
