MANILA - A young singer from Cebu got a chance to go after her dream after she became the newest member of Team Lea on the second season of "The Voice of the Philippines."
Thara Therese Jordana, 23, has always wanted to pursue a career in singing. However, she has to put her career on hold for her studies.
Now that she has already graduated from college, she made it a point to follow her dreams and pursue her passion.
"Gusto ko 'tong i-pursue kasi I can't live without singing, I love performing," Jordana said.
On the show's episode on Sunday, Jordana performed Miley Cyrus' "We Can't Stop." Just as she hoped before her performance, Lea Salonga and apl.de.ap turned for her.
"It's such a rhythmic piece lang na hinahanap ko is a little clarity lang, which is a challenging thing," Bamboo told Jordana, explaining why he did not turn for her.
Doon sa medyo huli na, dun na lumabas, so I was like, 'yun, pwede na akong umikot," Salonga said.
Apl and Salonga continued to convince Jordana to chose them and the contestant eventually chose to be part of Team Lea.
Jordana is the ninth member of the team, joining Charles Catbagan, Christelle Tiquis, Nino Alejandro, Jem Cubil, Leah Patricio, Miro Valera, Philippe Go, and Timothy Pavino.
