MANILA - A singer who wants the world to hear his compositions lands a spot on Team Lea on the second season of "The Voice of the Philippines."
Hailing from Tagbilaran City, Humfrey Nicasio, 24, said he joined "The Voice" because he want to be famous, as well as share his songs and compositions.
On the show's episode on Sunday, Nicasion sang Pharell William's "Happy," making both Lea Salonga and Sarah Geronimo turn for him.
"I felt that energy, it's just that, nagkulang nang konti para sa akin, pero you're in good hands. Good luck," apl.de.ap said.
"Congratulations for the two ladies who turned for you, so I'm sure you are happy. Good luck, and make that choice, man," Bamboo told Nicasio.
"Nagustuhan ko 'yung song choice mo, naramdaman ko din 'yung happiness mo habang kumakanta although may konting kaba, normal lang naman 'yun," Geronimo said.
"Sa pagkanta mo lang, wala, ngiti lang ako nang ngiti, sobrang happy listening to you. Kung meron lang akong aanuhin sa 'yo, diction lang, pero madali lang 'yun eh, madali lang ayusin 'yun eh. And if you're ready to work hard, and to fix that, I'm you're man for that," Salonga said.
Nicasio chose to be part of Salonga's team, adding that he believes the Broadway star can help him improve his diction.
"Siguro kailangan ko ng teacher sa diction, I choose you, Lea," Nicasio said.
Aside from Nicasio, Team Lea is now composed of Charles Catbagan, Christelle Tiquis, Nino Alejandro, Jem Cubil, Leah Patricio, Miro Valera, Philippe Go, Thara Jordana, and Timothy Pavino.
