MANILA - A man who can play seven instruments simultaneously is the newest member of Sarah Geronimo's team in the second season of "The Voice of the Philippines".
Elmerjun Hilario, 25, is a wedding singer and a full-time musician. His ability to play seven instruments makes him a unique choice for clients looking for entertainment and music in their events.
On the show's episode on Saturday, Hilario performed an energetic rendition of Ace of Base's "The Sign", making Geronimo turn for him.
"Kasi 'yung energy mo, parang bata eh. Parang magkabagay 'yung energies niyo eh," Lea Salonga said, explaining her reason for not turning her chair for Hilario.
"I will steal you, man. I'm jealous, I'm jealous. I wish I hit my button, now knowing that you play seven crazy instruments. Bakit hindi ako umikot? I could hear your nerves, narinig ko medyo shaky ka, kinakabahan ka," Bamboo Mañalac said.
"Masayang-masaya ako at umikot ako para sa'yo. Sabi ni Coach Bamboo kanina parang nahalata niya na parang kinakabahan ka. Hindi ko narinig, kasi naririnig ko 'yung puso mo, ang kumakanta, para sa amin. Para bang, you really saw the sign, at gustong-gusto ko na hyper ka, na talagang positive ka, optimistic ka sa lahat ng bagay, kaya, wow, thank you. Congratulations, Elmerjun," Geronimo said, welcoming Hilario to her team.
"First choice ko talaga si Miss Sarah. Simula pa lang, siya na talaga. Saka gagawin ko 'yung lahat. With our team, gagalingan ko," Hilario said.
