MANILA - A self-professed music addict wowed all the coaches with his powerful voice in the second season of "The Voice of the Philippines".

Joniver Robles, 36, spent most of his life playing music. Despite not being able to finish his studies, he was able to help his family with the money he earns from his performances.

He also admitted that he admires Salonga, and would want to be part of her or Bamboo's team.

On the show's episode on Saturday, Robles performed "I Don't Need No Doctor". All the coaches turned their chairs as soon as he started singing.

"That was hot, that was so hot. That was amazing. That was the sexiest thing that's been up there on that stage, I mean, someone that gets your blood flowing, like, everywhere. Masarap ka ring panoorin, parang nasa sarili mong mundo ka. Wala pang katulad mo ang umakyat pa diyan sa stage na gumawa ng ginawa mo. Grabe ka," Salonga told Robles, who was visibly pleased with what he heard.

"Fan na fan na ho ako agad. Napakalaki ho ng respeto ko sa mga artist na katulad ninyo na napakagaling. So, sana bigyan niyo ako ng chance na makatrabaho ko ho kayo," Sarah Geronimo said.

"You sang it, just a few lines, wala pa ngang ilang bars yata, we hit that button. That's something in your blood. I want you on my team. You're in my top 16," Bamboo Mañalac told Robles.

"You lit up the room today. We've never felt this energy like this. You just did it effortless, really captivated the audience, and as for four choices, man, I want you on my team," apl.de.ap said.

Before revealing his choice, Robles admitted that he admires Salonga. He then sang a song for her.

"I wasn't expecting that she's going to say something really nice, sa panaginip ko lang naririnig 'yung sinasabi niya," Robles told Salonga before eventually deciding to be part of Kamp Kawayan.

"It's too good to be true, and my mom witnessed it."

Robles is the eleventh member of Kamp Kawayan, joining tattoo artist Sean Oquendo and nine others.

Team Sarah, meanwhile, has nine members, with Elmerjun Hilario as the latest addition to the team.

Team Apl has seven members so far, while Team Lea has eight.
