MANILA — Not a few Kapamilya fans were left wondering why Angel Locsin, one of the biggest stars of ABS-CBN, was absent from the network’s 2019 Christmas station ID launched on Monday.
Similar to previous station IDs, “Family is Forever” showed some stars grouped according to their respective shows.
Judy Ann Santos, for instance, was seen singing with her “Starla” co-stars Joel Torre, Raymart Santiago, and Enzo Pelojero, while Coco Martin was all-smiles with the cast of “FPJ’s Ang Probinsyano.”
The same was the case for “The General’s Daughter,” with Maricel Soriano, Arjo Atayde, and Ryza Cenon performing side by side.

A notable absence, however, was the action-drama series’ lead star Locsin, fans of the actress pointed out.
On Instagram, followers of Locsin asked an official of Dreamscape Entertainment, which produced “The General’s Daughter,” about Locsin’s participation in the station ID.
“Wala si Angel?” one fan commented, with a sad emoji, on a photo of “The General’s Daughter” cast posted by Dreamscape AdProm Manager Eric John Salut.
“May fever po siya nung day ng shoot,” Salut responded.
Aside from Locsin, some absences from “Family is Forever” that were noticed by fans were Anne Curtis, Angelica Panganiban, Shaina Magdayao, and Paulo Avelino, among others.
