MANILA -- Actress Jasmine Curtis-Smith, who is starring in a lesbian-themed indie film, revealed on "Tonight With Boy Abunda" what she felt while kissing another woman on screen.
Titled "Baka Bukas," Curtis plays a millennial lesbian who started falling in love with her female best friend, who is played by Louise Delos Reyes.
"Of course, kinabahan ako kasi I never had a kissing scene on screen. So for me to do one now, and for a film that is unusual for many, ninerbiyos ako kasi I've never kissed someone that I've never known less than a friend," she said.
Curtis said she was able to get through the scene because of the professional environment of their set.
"Pero when the time came, the moment was there, everyone was professional enough and nangyari na lang siya as if it was meant to," she said.
Directed by Samantha Lee, "Baka Bukas" is an official entry to Cinema One Originals. The film premiered on Wednesday at Glorietta Cinema 1.
It will be shown until November 22 at TriNoma, Greenhills Theatre Mall, Cinematheque Center, and Gateway Mall.
