Veteran talent manager Wyngard Tracy dies

MANILA, Philippines - Popular talent manager Wyngard Tracy passed away Tuesday morning due to a heart attack.

Tracy was behind the careers of some of the country's bright stars like Lucy Torres, John Estrada, Wendell Ramos, Richard Gomez and Maricel Soriano.

He started his career in show business as a production assistant in the 70's. He became a disc jockey in an FM station.

His biggest break in showbiz came after he was asked by director Bert de Leon and Vic del Rosario of Vicor Entertainment Corporation to handle the stars of the record company.

Tracy was also one of the judges of ABS-CBN's "Search for the Star in a Million" in 2005 then became a judge of "Showtime" January of this year.

A text message from co-talent manager June Rufino said that a mass for Tracy will be held at La Salle Greenhills Chapel today.

"The only mass for Wyngard Tracy will be at 5 p.m. today at La Salle Greenhills Chapel. No wake as per his dying wish."
