MANILA - A nineteen-year-old singer who sells poultry feeds for a living gets a chance to reach for her dreams as she becomes a part Bamboo's Kamp Kawayan in the second season of ''The Voice of the Philippines''.
Shairah Jim Cervancia, who hails from Puerto Princesa, Palawan, bonds with her sister through singing songs. Her family also said she looks like Melai Cantiveros.
On the show's episode on Saturday, Cervancia wowed the judges with her unique rendition of Zelle's "Sabihin Mo Na". Both Sarah Geronimo and Bamboo turned their chairs for her.
"Very unique 'yung boses mo, ibang klase.
"I like what you did in the end, talagang lumabas talaga 'yung tunay na boses mo, so I like that energy. So, welcome, good luck, you have two coaches that picked you," Apl.de.ap said.
If you go on my team, it's about unlearning bad habits na minsan napi-pick up natin kapag kumakanta tayo sa ibang lugar. Maganda 'yung boses mo, kaya umikot ako," Bamboo said.
Geronimo asked Cervancia, before teaching her some dance moves.
Cervancia opted to go with Coach Bamboo, with the hopes of developing her natural talent.
Cervancia joins Dang Del Rosario, Kai Honasan, Karlo Mojica, Rence Rapanot, and Tanya Diaz in Kamp Kawayan.
