MANILA - Kim Chiu will look like Ai Ai delas Alas in 20 years -- at least according to the first trailer of the romantic-comedy film "Past Tense."
The nearly three-minute preview, which premiered on television Monday during ABS-CBN's Primetime Bida block, shows delas Alas' character getting transported several years back to meet her past self, portrayed by Chiu.
Regretting certain decisions she made two decades ago, she sets out on a mission to convince her younger self to give her best friend, portrayed by Xian Lim, a chance to win her over and hopefully end up together.
"Past Tense" is under the direction of Mae Cruz-Alviar, who is also behind Chiu and Lim's box-office juggernaut "Bride for Rent" in January this year.
The Star Cinema movie, set for a nationwide release on November 26, will mark the third team-up of Chiu and Lim on the big screen. It is also their first with delas Alas, who is popular for her "Tanging Ina" film series.
