MANILA – Former child star Jennifer Sevilla paid tribute to the late actress Isabel Granada, who first became her friend when they did a toothpaste commercial together more than three decades ago.
In a series of Instagram posts where she shared photos of them when they were still young, Sevilla said she has known Granada since she was 10 years old.
The two transitioned into becoming teen stars when they joined "That's Entertainment."
"She was pretty as a doll with her lovely eyebrows, thick lashes, and that sweet smile! We were both into many commercials, some TV shows, and movies as child stars," she wrote.
She added: "She was very supportive and a dear friend through the years. Isabel was a truly beautiful human being, inside and out. Her smiles radiated her inner joy. I always admired her being multi-talented and skillful in many areas. She was very strong, brave, driven, hardworking and excellent at everything that she did," she said.
"She was always positive, thankful, and had a joyful, adventurous spirit. She was nice and kind to everyone she met and knew. Isabel was an amazing woman, daughter, mother, wife, friend, entertainer, air force pilot, and more."
Sevilla said she is grateful and honored to have called her a friend.
Granada passed away on November 4 at Hamad General Hospital in Doha, where she was rushed after she collapsed at a fan meet-and-greet on October 25.
The condition that led to her collapse was described as a brain hemorrhage indicating aneurysm, which in turn affected her heart.
