ABS-CBN bags 3 nominations in Asian TV Awards

MANILA, Philippines – ABS-CBN bagged three nominations at the 2017 Asian TV Awards (ATA).

Veteran actor Tirso Cruz III was nominated for Best Actor in a Supporting Role for his performance in ABS-CBN's hit primetime series "Wildflower."

Cruz is the only Filipino to nab an acting nomination at the 2017 ATA. He will be competing with actors from Singapore, Taiwan and Thailand.

Meanwhile, the talent search "The Voice Kids" has been nominated in the Best Adaptation of an Existing Format category.

It will be competing against Singapore's "The Amazing Race Asia Season 5," Thailand's "Sing Your Face Off Thailand Season 2," India's "Rising Star India," Singapore's "How Do I Look? Asia Season 2," and South Korea's "Saturday Night Live Korea." 
Finally, ANC's Cathy Yang bagged a nomination as Best News Presenter or Anchor for her show "Market Edge with Cathy Yang." She will be up against presenters from Bloomberg, BBC, CNBC and CNN, among others.
