MANILA, Philippines- Batangas Gov. and “Star For All Seasons” Vilma Santos reacted on his son Luis and actress Angel Locsin’s decisions to move in different directions on Wednesday.
In an interview with Showbiz News Ngayon, Santos, who has publicly supported the Luis-Angel off-screen relationship, expressed her sadness over the couple’s “separation of ways”.
Though regretful, the actress-turned-politician hopes that both will remain friends despite their failed romance.
“Ganun talaga ang fate, hindi natin mapipilit ang hindi pwede. They both tried. The most important thing is they remained friends. The respect should be there,” said Santos.
The “First Female Governor” of Batangas, who is celebrating her 57th birthday today gave tribute to her constituents at the Batangas Capitol Auditorium.
Family and friends, led by husband Senator Ralph Recto and son Ryan Christian, greeted Santos: “Binabati ko si Vi ng Happy, Happy Birthday. May she have more blessed birthdays to come. Pasasalamat na lang sa Panginoong Diyos para sa biyayang ibinibigay sa kanya at sa aming pamilya,” the senator said.
The multi-awarded actress shared her wish for continuing spiritual guidance as she leads her constituents.
