MANILA -- Teen wakeboarder Daniel Ombao had a "perfect" performance during the blind auditions of "The Voice of the Philippines," according to his new coach, Sarah Geronimo.
Geronimo said the song chosen by the 17-year-old and the heart he showed during the performance blended really well.
"May puso e. Tamang-tama lang na power ng boses ang ginamit. Perfect e. Para sa akin perfect ka ngayong gabi," she said.
Coach Bamboo Mañalac, despite not having turned his chair for Ombao, admitted he was also impressed with the teen, noting a particular part of the performance.
"Nice performance. I really liked it. May ginawa ka na gustong-gusto ko, na kailangan kong hanapin uli sa YouTube o sa replay. May ginawa kang one thing na ang sarap pakinggan," he said.
The young wakeboard instructor hopes that after making it to Team Sarah would can prove himself to his father, who wants him to become an engineer instead of pursuing a singing career.
