MANILA - Filipino-British teen Edward Barber moved one step closer to his dream of becoming the "Pinoy Big Brother: Lucky 7" grand winner.
This, after completing a grueling wire maze challenge faster than his fellow housemates Yong Mujahil and Christian Morones, earning himself an automatic spot in the reality show's finale.
Early on in the challenge, Morones looked well-placed to beat both Barber and Mujahil, but succumbed to his frustrations late.
The other two ganged up on Morones and used the flags they earned from a previous challenge to "freeze" him for a couple of minutes, much to the irritation of the hot-headed housemate.
And despite having the most flags, Mujahil struggled to move past the first checkpoint of the wire maze. And it was Barber who took advantage of Muhajil's decision to use all of his flags on Morones, and went on to finish the maze in the quickest time.
He then had to complete a puzzle with the help of his sister, which they did just as Morones eventually reached the last checkpoint of the wire maze.
There are still two spots for the remaining teen housemates, which include Maymay Entrata and Kisses Delavain, that are up for grabs. The show has yet to reveal how they will determine the last two teens who will move on to the finale.
Barber will join Mccoy De Leon and Nikko Natividad (who are considered as one housemate as both are members of the boy group Hashtags) and Korean personality Jinri Park in the finale.
Park earned her ticket to the finale in a similar fashion to Barber, while De Leon and Natividad were voted in.
Details about the "finale" have yet to be revealed. It remains unclear how exactly the show will determine its grand winner.
