MANILA - Global superstar Mariah Carey had to brave Manila's notorious traffic Friday to make it to her concert at the Araneta Coliseum in Quezon City.
Carey took to social media to update her fans about her experience.
"Stuck in traffic in Manila!" Carey posted on her Instagram Stories.
Carey was in Manila as part of her "The #1's" tour.
Carey's music career began 28 years ago when she burst into the scene with her self-titled debut album. She went on to become one of the most successful female artists of the decade, thanks to hits like "Emotions," "Without You," and "One Sweet Day."
She has a total of 18 US Billboard Hot 100 chart-toppers -- the last one being "Touch My Body" in 2008 -- good for a record second place behind only The Beatles, which has 20 in the chart's near 60-year history.
