Former action star turned director Teodoro Galan Baldomaro, popularly known as Baldo Marro, passed away early Sunday. He was 69.
Bacoor City Mayor Lani Mercado made the announcement on Facebook, as she expressed her condolences to the family of Baldomaro.
"Our condolences to the family of a very dear friend Teodoro Galan Baldomaro. Baldo Marro as he is known in showbiz has been part of the careers of almost all action stars including Ramon Bong Revilla Jr.," she said in her post.
His wake will be held at Samson Funeral Homes in Bacoor City, Cavite.
Revilla also recalled working with Baldomaro in a post.
According to a report on Pep, Baldomaro died of health complications.
His son, Monching, told the entertainment website that they brought the actor to the hospital for dengue.
He was discharged but was brought back when he vomitted blood.
Baldomaro also worked with the likes of Ramon Revilla Sr., Lito Lapid, Robin Padilla and Rudy Fernandez.
In 1988, he was named Best Actor in the Metro Manila Film Festival for his role in the movie, "Patrolman."
