MANILA -- The game show "The Singing Bee" is set to return to ABS-CBN with its latest season next month, its new hosts announced on Tuesday.
The game show, which features contestants trying to remember the lyrics to popular songs, will be hosted by Amy Perez and Roderick Paulate, who are now back as Kapamilya artists.
Perez and Paulate signed their contract with ABS-CBN on Tuesday.
"Sa November na 'yon. Abangan nila at malapit na 'yon," said Perez, who mentioned about the return of the game show in an earlier interview.
"Inaayos pa para 'di kayo mabigla pero malapit na 'yon," Paulate added.
“The Singing Bee,” which ran for five successful seasons from April 2008 to February 2010, was previously hosted by actor Cesar Montano.
Perez and Paulate also thanked ABS-CBN viewers, who have expressed their excitement about their return to the network.
"Thank you sa mga Kapamilya natin na pinaramdam sa amin ni Kuya Dick na masayang masaya sila and we are back together and we will be doing a show together. Masaya kami at naa-appreciate namin 'yon," said Perez, who can already be seen on ABS-CBN as one of the celebrity judges for the fourth anniversary celebration of the noontime show "It's Showtime."
