Daniel Padilla and Kathryn Bernardo at the Comelec office in Quezon City
MANILA – Onscreen partners Kathryn Bernardo and Daniel Padilla are looking forward to voting for the first time in the 2016 presidential elections.
This after the two Kapamilya stars officially registered as voters in Quezon City on Tuesday.
In an interview with ABS-CBN News, Padilla said he will carefully choose a leader who he thinks will put the country’s interests first before his/her own.
Kapag hindi corrupt, sunud-sunod na 'yan,” he said.
Asked if he already has someone in mind on who to vote for as president, Padilla said: “Sa ngayon, pinag-aaralan ko pa talaga.
Bernardo, for her part, also shared the qualities she is looking for in a leader.
“Siguro dahil nire-represent ko rin 'yung mga kabataan, we want someone na bibigyan ng chance and papahalagahan yung mga kabataan, someone na maipaglalaban ang mga Pilipino and someone na gusto talaga yung trabaho. Dapat dedicated and not just for any reason. Dapat gusto talaga mag-serve for the country,” she said.
She then urged the youth to also register as voters and participate in choosing a leader who will only do good for the country.
