MANILA – Five months since she got engaged to former “Pinoy Big Brother” housemate Paul Jake Castillo, Kaye Abad currently has her hands full in preparing for their wedding.
Speaking to entertainment site Push, Abad said their wedding will take place in Cebu in December and it does not look like it is going to be a simple one with around 600 guests expected to attend.
"Before noong bata pa ako gusto ko malaking wedding. Kasi malaki 'yung family ni Paul Jake so I guess it’s going to be a big wedding,” she shared.
Since it’s not going to be in Manila, Abad said she was deeply touched when their friends immediately confirmed that they will be present on their special day even if it means they would have to fly to Cebu.
Kasi nung sinabi ko sa kanila na it’s going to be in Cebu, no questions asked sila. Nag-yes na sila to be there. Parang lahat sila pinaghahandaan nila,” she said.
With only around two months left to prepare, Abad shared how hands-on she is even up to the smallest detail of their wedding.
“As much as possible, ideas ko lahat. Ang wedding coordinator is just there to coordinate with them or kung may mga ideas ako sasabihin ko sa kanya para sabihin na lang niya dun sa suppliers. Most of it talaga ideas ko,” she added.
As for what she is going to wear, Abad has given her full trust to designer Francis Libiran.
Hindi kita gagawan ng simpleng gown,’” she said.
An exact date for Abad and Castillo’s wedding has not yet been announced.
Abad and Castillo had been close friends before admitting their relationship in April 2014. They got engaged last May 17 after being in a relationship for over two years.
