Gairanod's family, who used to live in a fishing village in Tanza, welcomed reporters inside their home at Camella Tierra Nevada, a 100-hectare estate development with parks and sports facilities.
After the house blessing on Wednesday morning, Camella officially turned over the house to Gairanod's mother, who was visibly emotional throughout the affair.
In Tanza, Maria Nessel Gairanod used to scavenge junk for a living, with the help of Lyca and her siblings. Gairanod's father worked as a fisherman to send them to school.
Aside from the lot and two-storey house, 9-year-old Gairanod, as "The Voice Kids" champion, also won P2 million and a recording contract with MCA Universal.
