"What we have is between us and we want to keep it that way."
In a way, actor Markus Paterson managed to say a lot by not saying anything during his interview on "Tonight With Boy Abunda" Wednesday about his rumored relationship with Janella Salvador.
Paterson said that because Salvador has been vocal about keeping her personal life private, he has decided to do respect that and refuse to confirm nor deny dating the actress.
"Obviously because she said she didn't want to have a relationship with the world, she's experienced that and I want to respect her so I'm not going to say anything, to confirm or deny it," he said.
He also said: "Right now, it's not the right time for anything. She's very successful with the show ['The Killer Bride'] and that should keep going."
In the same interview, Paterson also acknowledged that he first felt jealous over Salvador's love team pairing with Joshua Garcia.
“Noong una, yes [nagselos ako] of course that's a natural thing but you've got to think about it, it's work. Silang dalawa ay sobrang husay na artista . . . The chemistry's great," he shared. "Kahit ako [kinikilig] now but not before."
Paterson explained: "Alam mo 'yung unang feeling na konting selos na butterflies but when I thought about it well it's work and they're both good about what they do and they can create chemistry just like that because they're friends already.'
"Nawala naman lahat and Josh is a great guy."
Paterson was on the late night talk show to promote the iWant Originals series "Kargo," which is now available for streaming online.
