What would you do? You want her to be a modest dresser, to have a more demure fashion sense --all because you're worried "na baka mabastos siya." But that isn't who she is. You "love" her and want her to express herself in her own style. She also deserves to show off a little, considering the hard work she put into staying fit.
For Joshua Garcia, who admittedly prefers covering up, it can get tricky. He found himself facing this particular dilemma during the ABS-CBN Ball 2018, where love team partner Julia Barretto surprised him by arriving in a short, sexy pink dress.
He told bloggers during a visit to the set of their primetime teleserye, "Ngayon at Kailanman," this Wednesday afternoon that he was initially not a fan of Barretto's outfit.
He was asked about his thoughts on the glittery number, and said that he found it a bit too revealing. Though he added that as the night wore on, he realized that he had nothing to worry about.
"Tinitingnan ko siya, parang hindi na ako nakakaramdam ng pag-aalala na baka mamaya eh mabastos o ano. Iyong tiwala ko kay Julia, grabe," he explained.
He also said: "Gusto ko na mas taklob siya kasi conservative ako. Pero siyempre gusto ko na ganoon siya kasi gusto kong makita ng lahat kung gaano siya kaganda, ma-appreciate nila kung gaano siya ka-sexy, iyong paghihirap niya sa diet niya."
Barretto was one of the head-turners who graced the red carpet of the ABS-CBN Ball, taking advantage of the event having no dress code by wowing in a Mark Bumgarner dress.
