MANILA – Former “Pinoy Big Brother” housemate and model Margo Midwinter is now recovering from a 10-hour operation to remove a tumor found in her liver.
In a lengthy Instagram post on Saturday, Midwinter said she is already excited to be released from the hospital and go home now that she is no longer in pain.
“I had been living in pain for months, a mass in my body was growing. My boyf saw me everyday and knew the pain I was experiencing, I would work and yes post wonderful photos but most of the time I was heavily medicated,” she wrote.
After her operation, Midwinter said she felt relieved that her ordeal was over and that she “felt joy to know that the procedure had been done laparoscopic.”
“God guided her hands to work wonders on me. They removed the 13cm tumour plus 68% of my liver as they were attached, but I had no complications. The tumour is having a biopsy but we are quite confident it's benign. I'm so thankful to God for this second chance at life,” she said.
Midwinter then thanked her boyfriend, parents, relatives and friends who have been by her side when she needed them most.
“I'm out of ICU, recovering in my room. I still haven't been able to walk but with the care of my amazing strong mammy I know it will happen soon. I'm very thankful to have my parents with me. Thank you to everyone who visited me, especially Mike's parents, my relatives and our friends,” she said.
She likewise thanked all those who prayed for her speedy recovery.
“It means a lot. This may have been one of my hardest trails in my life, but God blessed me with a wonderful surgeon, doctors and nurses. He also gave me an incredible man in my life. Everything truly is in god's perfect timing,” she said.
It was in November 2016 when Midwinter revealed on social media that the doctors found a non-cancerous tumor in her liver.
