What happens when a security guard who alerts police of a bomb during the Summer Olympics becomes the prime suspect in the bombing?
That's the story of "Richard Jewell", the new movie from director Clint Eastwood, about a security guard who discovers a backpack filled with three pipe bombs at the Centennial Olympic Park at the 1996 Summer Olympics in Atlanta, Georgia.
His quick thinking saves lives but also marks him out as a possible suspect, with both the FBI and the media trying to find out the culprit behind the bombing.
The film, based on the Vanity Fair article “American Nightmare—The Ballad of Richard Jewell” by Marie Brenner, stars Oscar winners Sam Rockwell and Kathy Bates, Jon Hamm, Olivia Wilde, and Paul Walter Hauser as Richard Jewell.
Distributed in the Philippines by Warner Bros. Pictures, a WarnerMedia Company, "Richard Jewell" screens in Philippine cinemas January 15, 2020.
