MANILA -- Filmmaker Paul Soriano on Monday explained why his wife, Kapamilya star Toni Gonzaga, was not present at the recently held ABS-CBN Ball 2018.
In an interview with ABS-CBN News on Monday after the media launch for his newest film "First Love," Soriano said it was because of their son Severiano Elliott's second birthday.
"Actually it's my son's birthday, September 30. So we planned a trip to LA a couple of months ago. Even before the Ball was announced, we already planned that we want to bring Seve to Los Angeles on his second birthday," Soriano said.
"We already planned the trip. Even me, I'm in the middle of promoting the film, I took a week off to celebrate the second birthday of my son Seve in Los Angeles, where I am from. I want to show him where I was born," he added.
In the interview, Soriano was also asked if he and Gonzaga are planning to have another baby.
"We are still enjoying, we are still embracing Seve. Wala pang plans. We definitely want another one but right now we are enjoying Seve," Soriano said.
Currently, Soriano is busy promoting his latest film "First Love" starring Aga Muhlach and Bea Alonzo.
"First Love," which also stars Albie Casiño and Edward Barber, opens in cinemas nationwide on October 17.
