MANILA, Philippines - Filipino singing sensation Angeli Flores of the international Asian pop group “Blush” has extended her gratitude for all the blessings that has gone her way, especially on her singing career.
In an interview with Bandila on Tuesday, 21-year-old Flores admitted that she never actually thought that she could be working along with big music industry stars, moreover in the international scene.
“Never in my dreams na naisip ko na makaka-trabaho ko si Snoop Dogg, na mag-o-open ako for Justin Bieber. It was [like] ‘Wow!’ ‘Yung dreams ko sobra-sobra pa ‘yung binigay sa akin ni God, so I’m really grateful.”
Flores has been singing as early as the age of 8. She has competed in the Philippine reality talent search in 2002 alongside Sarah Geronimo, Mark Bautista and Angeline Quinto.
However, she got her big break after winning the Hong Kong based talent search “Project Lotus.”
Among 35,000 hopefuls in Asia, she was among the lucky 5 who now make up “Blush,” the first Pan-Asian girl group.
