Former couple Keempee de Leon and Vina Morales had an unexpected reunion on “It’s Showtime” Wednesday, when they were both invited as guest judges in the noontime program’s Mr. Q&A segment.
After they were introduced, host Vhong Navarro repeated his greeting to both de Leon and Morales, but with emphasis apparently to hint at their past romance.
Co-host Vice Ganda caught on, saying: “Oh my God, may something sila dati?”
The playful remarks led to de Leon confirming that they were indeed a couple for a time, when asked by the comedian.
Later in the segment, when Morales took her turn to comment on the contestants, de Leon joined the teasing by staring at his former girlfriend.
De Leon and Morales were together for a year and a half during their time in “That’s Entertainment,” according to the actor in a March 2019 interview.
“Tinatawag ako niya, ‘kuya,’ ‘Kuya Keempee.’ Sabi ko, ‘Huwag mo naman ako ‘kuya-kuyahin.’ After at least a year, iyon na, naging kami,” he recalled.
While the relationship did not last, the two eventually became friends — that much was evident as they exchanged laughs and went along with the teasing during their guesting on “It’s Showtime.”
