MANILA, Philippines – Veteran actress Janice de Belen has expressed her excitement over her upcoming ABS-CBN television series “Budoy.”
For her first project as a returning Kapamilya, she admitted that “Budoy” is in fact a great experience for her.
De Belen said she was impressed with the team’s creative production.
“Iba rin ang Creatives ng ABS-CBN. At dito sa Budoy naging kakaiba kasi si Direk Ruel Bayani kakaiba siya mag-describe ng character so it was a great experience for all of us,” she told Push.com.ph.
In the said show, De Belen is the adoptive mother of the lead character Budoy played by Gerald Anderson.
“Ako ang tatayong nanay ni Budoy pero how that happened, you all have to find out,” she said.
When she was asked to shed more light on her character, she replied, “It’s close to the kind of mother that I am in real life. Loving, maalaga, the stereotypical mom.”
Coming from another network, De Belen admitted that she was a little bit aloof at first.
“Siyempre nung una parang testing the waters pa. Nakakapanibago. I haven’t been here for a very long time,” she said.
However, the said uneasiness did not last long after she got to mingle with some of her long-time friends who are also part of the cast.
“Naging okay naman. Kasi may mga kakilala na ako noon pa. Si Mylene (Dizon) matagal ko nang kilala pero hindi ko pa nakakawork. Si Zsa Zsa (Padilla) nakasama ko dati sa Familia Zaragoza,” she said.
