Young actress Kim Chiu on Tuesday dismissed speculations that she is suffering from anorexia.
Anorexia, an eating disorder, is characterized by an obsessive fear of gaining weight, which is usually controlled by vomiting, starvation, drugs, or excessive exercise.
In an interview, Chiu said she practices a healthy lifestyle and that she actually has a really good appetite.
Although she’s evidently losing weight, Chiu stressed that she is not on a diet. On the contrary, she said that she has been eating a lot to shape up her body.
In the hopes of maintaining a healthy body and eventually gaining weight, Chiu has hired a nutritionist so her food intake will be closely supervised.
In the meantime, Chiu is busy promoting her latest television show "My Only Hope" with on-screen partner Gerald Anderson.
"My Only Hope" is the follow-up project of the hit tandem after the success of their show "My Girl" on ABS-CBN.
