MANILA - Billy Crawford's new game show "Celebrity Playtime" aired its pilot episode on Saturday to a warm reception from online viewers.

The newest Kapamilya offering, which has celebrities competing in various parlor games, made it on the list of the most talked about topics locally on social media site Twitter.

Several lauded the light-hearted feel of the new show that featured "Your Face Sounds Familiar" alumni Melai Cantiveros, Karla Estrada, Edgar Allan Guzman, and Nyoy Volante.

Their team, dubbed "Team Familiar," went against the group of comedians composed of Dennis Padilla, Long Mejia, Eric Nicolas, and Epy Quizon.

The first episode concluded with Team Familiar winning P140,000.

The teams first competed in game dubbed "HIRAP Spellengin," where celebrities had to take turns in spelling out words like "nakakataranta" and" pakikipagsapalaran."

If one team made a mistake, a point will be given to the opposite group. Both, however, will have to change representatives.

Their knowledge about song titles were then tested in a game called "Perfect Song-hination." A representative from each team will have to guess correctly the title for two songs in order to score a point.

The third game is perhaps the trickiest where a representative from each group will have to sing a song through various animal sounds and have the remaining members guess the correct title.

The fourth -- the jackpot round -- had the winning team play a charade of sorts. The game is called "Lights, Camera, Act-Song."

A representative will have to wear noise-cancelling headphones and guess the correct title of the song playing in the studio through clues acted out by his/her teammates.
