MANILA - Anne Curtis is badly beaten up in a scene from her upcoming Hollywood film "Blood Ransom," which is scheduled for an international release next month.
In the 40-second teaser video, Curtis is interviewed on her first day of shooting the independent project, which started production in mid-2012 in the United States.
The 29-year-old actress described herself as "badly beaten up," referring to her makeup and the fake blood on the side of her face.
Curtis is then shown as her character, Crystal, with co-star Alexander Doetsch, who plays Jeremiah. In the scene, an injured Crystal asks Jeremiah to help her and warns him that a man is coming their way.
No details about the film's story have been released, although earlier promotional images showed Crystal appearing to hold Jeremiah hostage, with her sharp fingernails pressed against his chest.
An earlier teaser showed Jeremiah apparently surprised to see Crystal alive.
"Blood Ransom," which was directed by Filipino-American Francis dela Torre, will be released locally on October 29 and in North America on October 31.
Dela Torre also helmed the 2011 American film "Subject: I Love You," which won lead star Jericho Rosales a top acting prize in that year's Newport Beach Film Festival.
