MANILA – ABS-CBN News’ very own Niña Corpuz gave birth to her third child last Tuesday.
The baby, who they named Luke Vincent, is Corpuz’s first son with husband Vince Rodriguez. The couple already has two daughters, Stella and Emily.
According to Corpuz, they named their son after St. Luke the Evangelist, who is one of the four authors of the gospel.
“He is the patron saint of doctors and artists. We admire him because his version of the gospel talks more about the birth of Jesus, the life of Mary and social justice,” she said.
The baby’s second name, meantime, is after St. Vincent de Paul, the patron saint of charities, known for his compassion, humility and generosity.
“Although he's my third child, I was so scared this time for some reason and dreaded the pain that comes with child birth. But I'm sure all mothers agree with me, nothing else matters at this point except this overwhelming love and connection between us two,” Corpuz said.
Corpuz went on a maternity leave last September 8, and has since then been sharing on Instagram her excitement over giving birth to her first baby boy.
In an interview promoting her book, "How to Raise a Superstar," a compilation of parenting tips from celebrity parents, Corpuz said that she, in describing her own style, just wants her "kids to have fun."
