MANILA - Actor JM de Guzman has been dropped from the upcoming Metro Manila Film Festival 2015 entry "Walang Forever," producer Joji Alonzo confirmed Thursday.

The 27-year-old De Guzman will be replaced by Jericho Rosales, who will lead the film's cast alongside star Jennylyn Mercado and Lorna Tolentino.

Alonzo did not disclose the reason for the casting change.

"Walang Forever" is directed by Dan Villegas, who has previously worked with Mercado in the hit romantic comedy "English Only, Please."

It will feature a script from Antoinette Jadaone, best known for the surprise indie hit "That Thing Called Tadhana" and the ongoing primetime television series "On the Wings of Love." -- With a report from Mario Dumaual, ABS-CBN News
