MANILA -- It was a reunion of sorts for actress-host Toni Gonzaga and the trio of Tito Sotto, Vic Sotto and Joey de Leon when they shared the stage during the FAMAS Awards on Sunday.
Gonzaga presented the Lifetime Achievement Award to the three men during the 63rd Filipino Academy of the Movie Arts and Sciences or FAMAS Awards night.
Gonzaga started her hosting career with the trio in 2002 before moving to the Kapamilya network in 2005.
Just recently, Tito Sotto, on behalf of his brother and de Leon, signed an agreement with ABS-CBN's music arm Star Music for the acquisition of an estimated 116 original compositions of Tito, Vic and Joey.
The agreement turns over the exclusive rights and copyrights use of the compositions to Star Music.
"Everything is plantsado na. Protektado kami which I think is the most important, lalo na sa mga songwriters. Mas maganda ang set up sa Star the same time mas madaling maishi-share para sa bayan. We feel good about it," Tito Sotto said in previous interview.
Included in the agreement are songs popularized by VST & Co., the '70s group behind the hits "Ipagpatawad Mo," "Tayo'y Magsayawan" and "Awitin Mo, Isasayaw Ko."
