MANILA – Edu Manzano will soon be returning to ABS-CBN.
This was announced by Kris Aquino on “The Buzz” on Sunday saying she got the confirmation from the actor-host himself.
“Ka-text ko si Edu. He’s in Lodon actually tapos ang nasabi ko lang is that everyone here in ABS is looking forward to welcome you back. Tapos sabi niya malapit na malapit na daw. Pabalik na daw siya dito. Sabi niya, ‘I look forward to going home,’” Aquino said.
Manzano has appeared in several Kapamilya shows in the past years. He is best known for his stint as host of the game show “Pilipinas, Game KNB?” He was also once part of the morning show “Umagang Kay Ganda.”
Manzano left ABS-CBN in 2010 and transferred to another network.
Just recently, Manzano made headlines after he revealed in social media that he is getting death threats from those linking him to the suspension of Optical Media Board (OMB) chairman Ronnie Ricketts.
Last week, the Office of the Ombudsman suspended Ricketts and four others for neglect of duty in connection with the post-raid operations conducted against Sky High Marketing Corp. in Quiapo on 2010.
Manzano explained in a series of posts that he had no part in the Ombudsman's decision, which also ordered the filing of criminal charges against Ricketts for graft and corruption.
In 2004, Manzano served as the chairman of the OMB. Ricketts took over the post five years later.
