Maya perform"Ambon"at the launch of their debut album under Star Music on Thursday.
MANILA -- Star Music's acoustic duo Migz & Maya released their debut album on Thursday.
"We are very excited. Sana po ay suportahan nila sobra pong pinagpaguran namin lahat ng ito at sana ay magustuhan nila at ma-enjoy nila, katulad ng pag-enjoy namin sa paggawa ng album na ito," said Maya, who is also known as Angeli Flores.
Prior signing with Star Music, Maya was part of the Pan-Asian girl group Blush.
"Sobrang overwhelmed kami at sobrang kinabahan kami the past few weeks dahil sobrang naghanda kami for this," added Migz or Miguel Haleco, who started doing song covers on YouTube.
In the interview, they said they are thankful to be part of Star Music since it is a dream do come true for them to release an album.
"Mapabilang lang sa mga artists ay sobrang grateful kami sa blessing na ito," Maya said.
"Hindi namin ini-expect. Sobrang privileged talaga kami to be part of Star Music," Migz added.
The two received mainstream recognition with their cover of "Ambon," a Himig Handog P-Pop Love Songs 2016 entry, which was used as the official theme song of the hit movie "How To Be Yours."
"Ambon" is a bonus track in their self-titled album.
The other songs on "Migz & Maya" are "Stay," "One More Chance," "Suntok Sa Buwan," "Paano Na Kaya," "Ipagpatawag Mo," "Paano Ba Magmahal," "Kulang," "Mahal Ko O Mahal Ako," "Para Lang Sa 'Yo," "Ikaw," "Baby I Do," "Hanggang," "Makita Kang Muli" and "Lihim," which is Migz's own composition.
