MANILA - Four months after getting married, actress Coleen Garcia is still getting the hang of being a wife.
Speaking to Push, Garcia, who wed host and singer Billy Crawford in April, shared how being married changed her life.
"Right now, everything basically changed. I’m still kind of getting settled in. I think it’s really a process," she said.
"For us right now there’s no better feeling really and to have a partner that you know you’re going to spend the rest of your life with, it really changes everything. Kasi (because) everything you decide, everything you think of, everything you do, you put the other person into consideration," Garcia added.
For Garcia, having her husband by her side gives her a new kind of confidence.
"It’s great because no matter what you do, you know you’re supported as well so that’s how I feel. I feel like I’m never going to lose my partner, like hindi ako mawawalan ng kakampi, hindi ako mawawalan ng taong sumusuporta sa akin at naniniwala sa akin (I will never lose an ally, I will never lose a person who supports me and believes in me) so it’s a really nice feeling to know na kahit anong mangyari, may sasalo sa akin (that no matter what happens, someone's got my back)," she said.
Being married also gave Garcia more reasons to achieve her goals.
"Marriage hasn’t really changed where I want to go in my career actually. I still have my own goals, my own dreams, and I plan on pursuing that still,” she added.
Garcia and Crawford exchanged vows last April in a star-studded wedding in Balesin Island Club in Quezon province.
