MANILA - "The Voice Kids," ABS-CBN's version of the hit singing competition, closed out its second season on a high note.

The show's two-part finale, which named 11-year-old Elha Nympha as the grand champion, registered nationwide ratings of 38.8 percent and 43.4 percent last Saturday and Sunday, respectively, according to Kantar Media.

However, the August 30 rating was not the highest "The Voice Kids" had received since its June 6 debut. Last July 25, it earned a record-breaking national TV rating of 46.3 percent.

At the program's final episode, Nympha, a banana cue vendor from Quezon City, won P1 million cash, a recording contract, a music instrument package, a shopping spree, a family utility vehicle, a house and lot worth P2 million, and a P1 million trust fund.

Team Lea's Reynan Dal-Anay and Esang de Torres placed second and third, while Nympha's teammate, Sassa Dagdag, bagged fourth.

ABS-CBN's "The Voice Kids" is one of over 50 international versions of the talent search, including the format for adults.
