MANILA—Arci Muñoz was in tears as she asked for privacy in an interview aired hours after she revealed her breakup with businessman Anthony Ng.
She was asked about the split on "Tonight With Boy Abunda" Friday, and at first she joked that the late night show should play a sad song to accompany her answer.
However, midway through her singing I Belong to the Zoo's "Sana," Muñoz buried her face in her hands and cried, saying: "I always keep this private life private. I want to keep it that way."
"Thank you po."
Muñoz first revealed that she and Ng had decided to call time on their relationship, first made public back in 2017, during a press conference for her upcoming teleserye "Pamilya Ko."
She explained that there was no third party involved, and said: "It's shallow. It's just really . . . Maybe it's not the right time."
She was on "Tonight With Boy Abunda" to promote "Open," her movie with co-star JC Santos.
About a long-term couple who tries to save their relationship by being open to others sexually, the movie is from Black Sheep and is an entry to this year's Pista ng Pelikulang Pilipino.
