An 11-year-old girl who almost didn't make it to her auditions because she and her mother lacked the money to stay in Metro Manila is the newest addition to the team of Sarah Geronimo.

Prior to her blind audition for "The Voice Kids," aired Saturday, Adah Leosala, who hails from Bicol, shared that she was about to give up on auditioning for Star Hunt, ABS-CBN's audition event for all its shows, for financial reasons.

But a fan of hers from Canada named Benjo Florido, in an act of kindness, got in touch with her and her mother and volunteered to shoulder all of her expenses, as well as her schooling.

Florido said that he became a fan of Leosala after watching one of her performances and that he just wants to support her dreams.

Leosala passed her blind audition, where she sang Morissette's "Akin Ka Na Lang." Both Lea Salonga and Sarah Geromino turned their chairs for her, but she eventually went with the latter, saying that she is a huge fan of the pop princess.
