MANILA – For the first time, no one from Sarah Geronimo’s team made it to the final round of the hit talent competition “The Voice.”
On Sunday, the four young artists from the teams of Lea Salonga and Bamboo Manalac -- Reynan Dal-Anay, Esang De Torres, Sassa Dagdag and Elha Nympha -- garnered the most number of public votes, securing their slots in the competition’s finals next weekend.
Zephanie Dimaranan and Kyle Echarri, both from Team Sarah, got the lowest number of votes and were eliminated.
Despite the outcome, Geronimo took to Twitter to thank all those who supported her artists throughout the whole competition.
“Salamat po sa sumusuporta sa #TeamSarah! Zephanie and Kyle, thank you for inspiring us. God bless you both. May the most deserving kid win,” she said.
In a video uploaded by one of Geronimo’s fans, the “The Voice Kids” coach also said: “Sa lahat po ng Popsters at sa mga hindi po Popsters na sumuporta sa Team Sarah, maraming maraming salamat po. Thank you po, thank you.”
In another video, Geronimo can be heard telling one of her fans: “Don’t be sad. Ganyan talaga.”
Both videos of Geronimo were supposedly taken after the semi-finals episode of “The Voice Kids” on Sunday.
Meanwhile, Echarri thanked Geronimo for inspiring him and the other young artists who were part of her team.
On Instagram, he said, unedited: “Coach Sarah inspired us to continue reaching our dreams & to never give up. Thank you to everyone who supported me & Zephanie @kylesters_main @popsters25 & all other fandoms. We remain blessed & grateful.”
Dimaranan, on the other hand, also thanked Geronimo and her supporters, saying she will not stop until her dreams come true.
“Thank you po Coach Sarah, Thank you Team Sarah, Kyle, Zephanatics, Lycanatics, Popsters, and Sa lahat po ng sumusuporta sa Amin! Sa Pamiya ko sa Lahat Lahat ng Sakripisyo at Labis na Pag Aalaga sa akin! Mahal ko po kayong Lahat! Tuloy po ang Aking Mga Pangarap,” she said.
