MANILA – Herbert Bautista said he and Kris Aquino have yet to start shooting their upcoming movie, which will be an entry to this year’s Metro Manila Film Festival.
In an interview with ABS-CBN News on Wednesday, Bautista said Aquino is still busy shooting scenes for her other movie, “Etiquette for Mistresses”, which will be released in theaters next month.
“Nasa shooting pa siya ng ‘Etiquette for Mistresses.’ Huling usap namin, sinabi niya tatapusin muna niya, magko-concentrate muna siya sa ‘Mistresses’. And then after that, hopefully matuloy ang pelikula. Baka biglang magkasakit or hindi natin alam. We are praying na matuloy,” he said.
Bautista said both of them are likewise clueless as to the final story of their movie.
“We have not met about it. Wala pa kaming meeting. Nasa ABS-CBN naman yun, nasa Star Cinema,” he said.
Aquino previously said she and Bautista will begin working on the movie in July.
Nonetheless, Bautista said he and Aquino communicate from time to time.
“Okay naman. Siyempre kailangan mag-bonding kayo paminsan-minsan kasi magsisimula na ang pelikula. But beyond movie, siyempre the friendship should be there,” he said.
Bautista and Aquino were formerly in a relationship, although it was only short-lived.
On April 7, 2014, Aquino spoke about her ties with Bautista on "Aquino & Abunda Tonight", She confirmed that they were indeed "partners," ending weeks of speculation.
"The next day, over the phone he broke up with me, right before Bimb's (her son) 7th birthday party," Aquino said.
It was reported that the Quezon City mayor's children with former partner Tates Gana were negatively affected by news on the relationship.
