MANILA, Philippines – After drawing flak for reacting negatively to rumors that Hollywood socialite and hotel heiress Paris Hilton was supposed to pay a courtesy call on President Benigno Aquino III, model Georgina Wilson has finally spoken and explained herself.

In an interview with ABS-CBN News on Wednesday, Wilson said she was just voicing out her own opinion.

“I like Paris, but I’m just voicing my opinion. People in our generation should voice out our opinion more,” she said.

“PNoy will meet with Paris pero commercial naman ang purpose ng pagpunta niya dito so bakit kailangan pa,” the model added.

According to Wilson, she would rather want the President to meet with someone like Filipino-American singer Bruno Mars.

“I would want Bruno to have courtesy call with PNoy because he is a Filipino. The President meets with business people so no need to meet with Paris,” she said.

On Monday Wilson posted in her official Twitter account that it was shameful that the President does not have better things to do than to meet with the famed celebutante and reality TV actress.

Malacañang, however, clarified on the same day that there is no schedule of a courtesy call of Hilton on President Aquino.

"The President is concerned with matters of the state," Presidential Spokesperson Edwin Lacierda told reporters. - Report from Ginger Conejero, ABS-CBN News
